This WWI era Anti-aircraft
gun truck was known officially as a "13 Pounder,
AA Motor Mounting on a 3-ton Thorneycroft 'J'-type Lorry". The model shown
here was entirely scratch-built, in 1/76 scale, by Steve Guthrie and mounted
on Astra's Base 72-M3. The base has been painted in earth tones and then
lightly weathered using oil-paint washes and subtle dry-brushing. As
supplied in the stock package, the stone wall is complete and unbroken. By
simply cutting out a few of the stone blocks, Steve has added another
element of interest and has made his wall unique.
